The History Of Photography

    ~~~~~History Of Photography~~~~~
It started with the idea of "camera obscura" and the realization that some things are visually altered to change with different lighting. By 1800, Thomas Wedgewood decided to put those two things together. He made the first reliable documented photo, but it was an unsuccessful attempt. Next Nicéphore Niepce tried, and although It took many days of having the camera exposed, the image was finally created and successful through it wasn't a very good picture. Louis Daguerre, an associate of Nicephobe, created the "daguerreotype process" which was the first photographic process to be announced to the public This process took only minutes of exposure instead of days, and it created a clear and fine detailed image. In 1839 the camera was released to the public to be bought, and the year was considered the first year of practical photography.
Made by Joseph Draper in 1839, this is
portrait of his sister.
This portrait is one of the oldest photographed.
 The daguerreotype was a metal based tool, so to make competition, the "paper based calotype negative and salt print process" was invented by Henry Fox Talbot. This process changed the exposure time from minutes to seconds and then eventually seconds to a fraction which introduced new photography media like roll films, and enabled the camera to make the photos either natural colored or black and white..
Electric computer based cameras were introduced in the 1990s to change the revolutions of photography, which led to the film based cameras in the first decade of the 21st century. They became widely appreciated and the quality of photos was continuously improved.
The word photography is based on the Greek word "φῶς " which means "light" and "γραφή" meaning drawing; writing, which when put together means, "Drawing with light."
